Directions comes in a 88ml tub, with a tamper proof screw on lid. This provides the user with an easy to use 49mm opening for easy use with a tint brush. One 88ml tub will usually cover shoulder length hair.

The Directions shades cover all colours of the spectrum from Ebony to White toner, with up to 10 various shades of red, 5 different shades of blue and 4 shades of green as well as purples, pinks and oranges. The darker colours can be applied to any shade of hair to achieve either a vibrant colour or a soft highlight effect. The lighter colours are designed for mainly lighter heads of hair, or hair that has been pre-lightened or bleached. By doing this Directions will penetrate the hair follicles more deeply, and therefore in most cases last longer.
